One Craft Gallery is a co-operative owned and run by the gallery members and showcasing our work. We offer a wide range of creative and decorative items including ceramics, jewellery, textiles, glass, printmaking, painting, woodwork and bookbinding. In addition to co-operative members, guest exhibitors will supplement the wide range of products on display on a regular basis, ensuring there is always a fresh and changing collection. The windows are also regularly refreshed, so come and have a look at what we have on offer… then step inside to treat yourself, or buy a gift. All members of the co-operative are available to discuss commissions.
One Craft Gallery is situated in a Grade II listed building on the looking onto the Market Place. In a previous life the shop was a saddlers and this tradition of hand-crafted work is continued in the gallery today.
Shepton Mallet is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Unlike its sister towns, Wells and Glastonbury, it has always been a working town and many of its buildings reflect this heritage. The Market Place boasts a market cross and a ‘shamble’ dating from the 15th century. The local church of St. Peter and St. Paul at the back of the square has a fine example of a ‘wagon’ roof.
