Tina Seviour – Jewellery

Recycled, Re-Worked and Re-Loved …….

Tina’s jewellery explores line, texture, pattern and form and is predominantly made from recycled sterling silver and re-claimed vintage textiles.

Tina’s original interest in jewellery making came after attending evening classes at Wiltshire College.  It was here that she developed an interest in recycling silver; recreating new and inspired designs from items that were broken, unused and un-loved.

From there, Tina went on to study at the City of Bath College achieving a City and Guilds Certificate in Jewellery and Design, leading to an Advanced Diploma.

Silk thread features in Tina’s work – using vintage frayed silk fragments for embossing metals and in her use of reclaimed Indian saris for the original and structural necklaces she makes.  Unique and one-off pieces, individually hand formed, that are both sculptural and tactile.

Tina is a member of the Association for Contemporary Jewellery, Creative Frome and takes part in Open Studios locally as well as exhibitions.
