Sunday 20th November saw the first Shepton Sunday Market take place in the town centre and what a great event it was!
The town centre was full of lovely artisan stalls selling local arts, crafts, food and gifts. With free parking in the town, it was great to see so many people enjoying the festive atmosphere and bring the town centre back to life. One Craft Gallery opened up and we welcomed over 200 people through the door!
Hopefully, the market will become a regular fixture and from March 2017, the plan is to hold the Sunday Market on the third Sunday of the month. And if the success of neighbouring town Frome’s Sunday Market is anything to go by, maybe we can create another wonderful monthly market that celebrates small, local businesses.
Here’s a selection of photos of the market and One Craft Gallery taken by Helen Thompson.
